For a first trip, Tapovan (near Laxman Jhula) is the easiest base — cafés, yoga and shops within walking distance and good access to sightseeing. If you want it quieter, Muni Ki Reti near Ram Jhula is lovely, and for a spiritual stay choose Swarg Ashram near the Triveni/Parmarth aarti.

Tapovan is livelier — cafés, yoga schools and a younger crowd, near Laxman Jhula. Swarg Ashram (across the river near Parmarth Niketan) is quieter, more traditional and steps from the evening Ganga aarti. Choose Tapovan for buzz and yoga, Swarg Ashram for calm and pilgrimage.

A hotel is easiest for sightseeing and comfort; a riverside camp near Shivpuri is best for atmosphere and adventure; a resort suits slow, spa-focused or special-occasion stays. Many guests combine a camp night with a hotel or resort — we can arrange either or both.

Stay upriver towards Shivpuri if adventure is your priority — you’ll be right by the rafting launch and close to the bungee site at Mohanchatti, in camps or riverside resorts. For town sights and yoga, base in Tapovan and travel up for activities; we handle the transfers.
